DescriptionICF is seeking a Outreach Specialist to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to provide legal services for unaccompanied children post-release from Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) care and custody and to expand the legal community’s skills and capacity to provide immigration legal support. The Outreach Specialist will use his/her expertise to develop collaborative relationships with governmental agencies, ORR provider staff, and community resources to promote the project’s legal services to eligible unaccompanied children.The successful candidate has broad knowledge of refugee services. The Outreach Specialist will work closely with and under the oversight of the Partnership and Outreach Lead to execute strategies related to outreach and engagement to support project success. The successful candidate will have an ability to engage with partners, the legal service community, and community partners who may contribute to outreach activities.Key Responsibilities:Outreach Specialist responsibilities include:
Support the development and execution of the project’s Outreach Plan.
Support the identification of potential governmental, community, and professional organizations who might be interested in participating in building capacity of the legal community as a provider or referral/outreach source.
Conduct virtual and in-person outreach meetings. This involves community groups such as schools, health care professionals, and religious organizations within the task area geographical location.
Support the development of outreach material and online content related to engagement efforts.
Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of nonprofit and other organizations and stakeholders working with unaccompanied minors.
Maintain strong relationships with partners and potential partner organizations, networking and communicating regularly to maintain current perspectives in the field.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, business administration or related field which requires collaboration and networking.
A minimum of 1 year demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder and partner relationships, including balancing multiple perspectives/needs.
Preferred Skills:
Education and/or experience in the application of race equity, diversity, and inclusion of social justice strategies in human service settings.
Working knowledge of the refugee, immigrant, and asylee challenges.
Experience working for a refugee program.
Experience working with the legal community.
Prior work experience in a consulting environment.

Proficient with MS office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
